This year Mothers Day is on Sunday the 14th of March and to celebrate the special day with our Mother’s, Aunts, Grand Mothers and Carers, Pistachio’s in the Park are sharing some motherly love and inspiration to our park visitors and café customers to celebrate the day with the ones that they love and care about.

For those that don’t know, Mothering Sunday dates back as far as ancient Greek times when an annual festival was dedicated to the maternal goddess.  Today Mothering Sunday is recognised as a Christian celebration with Mothering Sunday always falling on the 4th Sunday of Lent.

Spring flowers such as yellow daffodils are often gifted or pictured in cards to represent Mothering Sunday.

2021 Mothers Day with Pistachio’s in the Park

To commemorate the day, our Pistachio’s in the Park cafes will be open throughout our London, Surrey and Sussex parks serving takeaway hot and cold drinks, food and delicious treats. If you live in London, Surrey or Sussex and would like to make the day just that little more special, why not meet for a gentle stroll around one of our charming parks?  Take in the views and embrace the peacefulness of the nature around you, as part of your daily exercise and grab a coffee or a lite bite to eat on route.

If you are not able to meet up, then here are just a few Mothers Day gift ideas to think about. Try making and posting a home-made card, send some flowers or even create a hamper with their favourite food or goodies. Alternatively, nothing will be more special than just making a phone or a video call to say hello, have a catch-up chat and tell them that you love them.

Above all we would like to wish everyone, a special Happy Mother’s Day from Pistachio’s in the Park.
