Spending time outdoors in the winter has many health benefits. The winter sun can help give our bodies a boost of vitamin D which is vital for building our immune system. The bright days also help to combat against SAD (Seasonal Active Disorder) a condition whereby people can feel an emotion of depression throughout the winter months.
Other studies have found that by spending time outdoors, people improve within their levels of creativity and focus, which is great for pursuing a more positive approach to our productivity.
The great news is that our London and Surrey parks are open, which is ideal for those who would like to get out and about in the outdoors, to focus on improving their and enjoy some of our fresh winter air. Across our London and Surrey parks, customers can enjoy a walk, a run, or a cycle as part of daily exercise and children can play in our outdoor play park areas; all are permitted under the current 2021 lockdown restrictions.
And, the great news is that many of our cafes are also open, all be it for takeaway only. So, whilst you visit the park, please pop by and order a hot or cold drink, grab a light bite to eat or treat the kids to an ice cream – even if it is January!
