As we continue to support the second lockdown, this month we are celebrating the outdoors for everything that the UK seasons and weather has to offer us.
November is probably the most colourful month of the year here in the UK, in terms of such a wide variety of trees turning colour. From burnt orange and chocolate brown to bright yellow and royal burgundy, our eyes really are spoilt with a feast of colour.
Here at our London and Surrey parks, you will find plenty of beautiful autumnal trees whilst outdoors, not to mention their fallen fruits such as acorns, chestnuts and berries which the wildlife are busy collecting, in time for hibernation.
The air might be cold and a little blowy but generally we have more sunny days in Autumn. Whether you like a brisk stride or walk or a slow ambling stroll, the best decision is to wrap up warm and get out and about.
Walking increases serotonin levels, which can help to prevent depression and the traditional autumn and winter blues.” says macsadventure.com.
Not only does it make us feel better in our own wellbeing, being outside also boosts our vitamin D which our bodies desperately need through the shorter daylight winter month’s to help us stay healthy.
Throughout London and Surrey, all of our Pistachio’s in the Park green areas are open including outdoor children’s play areas. Under second lockdown rules, children are allowed to use the parks for playing outdoors. Don’t forget! Our cafes are also open too. Please pop by to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Throughout the month, we are serving both hot and cold food and drinks under our takeaway menu.
