It’s all hands on deck at Manor House Gardens today as we get ready for the annual Summer Festival which takes place tomorrow 24 June from noon ’til 8 pm.
We are running a pop up street café offering a whole range of tantalising dishes including Thai, Indian and Jamaican specialities. Choose from stir fried noodles, chicken curry and rice, lamb, beef or vegetable patties and salad all priced £3.50-£4.50. Or why not treat yourself to a hot dog or burger? We have watermelon and farm fresh ice creams to keep you cool including Caribbean coconut, bubble-gum and tutti frutti flavours. Plus our best selling chocolate and banana crepes and homemade cakes to tempt you. All our billboards are ready and we have twenty staff lined up ready to serve you!
There’s loads going on: Felix’s School of Rock has organised lots of local musical talent, from LCN Performing Arts and HSDY! to Hit Men and Slinky Malinki. There’s a community bar and kids will be entertained by Botton’s Funfair, soft play and games and activity stalls. Locally produced crafts and cakes will also be on sale.
Also, don’t forget to buy some raffle tickets. There are some fab prizes up for grabs such as tickets to OnBlackheath Festival; £300 Apple voucher courtesy of John Payne; £200 travel voucher courtesy DialAFlight; tickets up PopUpCinema; a bike from Pedal It, plus meal vouchers. Tickets are just a £1 each and can be bought on the day from You Don’t Bring Me Flowers.
Hope you come along to Manor House Gardens tomorrow and if so, do drop by to see us!
