Manor Park – Quaggy River Opening Ceremony with the Environment Agency.
Tuesday 5th June saw the opening of the new Manor Park. The Environment Agency held an opening day for staff that have worked on the park and for various Environment heads. Bridget Prentice MP and Ian Pearson MP opened the park by cutting the ribbon on the new unique statues in the park.
Pistachios in the Park was asked to cater for the event which included providing morning tea and coffee, with light pastries, then a luncheon of sandwiches, salads, petit fours and pastries. After the lunch, the park was officially opened and Pisatchios chef’s fired up the barbeque to provide over 200 free burgers with side salad (courtesy of the Environment Agency).

With the new parks being opened by Lewisham Council and managed by Glendale, we were asked to provide catering units and be part of the consultation for the newly built coffee shops within the parks. The parks would be opened before the coffee shops, so we have invested a considerable amount of money to have a trailer designed in the shape of an old tram (to keep the same style Victorian look that Lewisham have produced for their parks).
The trailer has been put in Telegraph Hill, Sydenham Wells, Blackheath (for fireworks night) and Chinbrook Meadows. We are currently in talks with Glendale and Lewisham council to put the Catering Trailer in their latest park development.
The trailer provides healthier food and does not include chips, burgers, hot dogs, etc.
The trailer is available (with staff) to hire for events, please contact us via the contact page for more information and prices.
